About Denison University

Denison University is a private, coeducational, and residential college of liberal arts and sciences, in Granville, which is a village in Licking County, in the US state of Ohio, with a population of more than 3000 inhabitants, at the time of the 2000 census.

The university was established in 1831 `and focused then, as now, on preparing effective leaders and active citizens`. It offers its students Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Fine Arts, as well as 48 courses of study and 12 pre-professional programs.

Athletics

Denison's athletic teams are known as The Big Red, and they compete in NCAA Division III, NCAC, with 23 varsity teams - 11 for men, and 12 for women. Their distinctive colors are red and white.
